Doris Version 2.6 now available

Doris 32 Version 2.6 includes updated software and improved functionality. The system has been re-tooled to improve effectiveness while also adding new features.

Version 2.6 is an update to current Doris installations. It does not include new modules, but enhances and extends the functionality of the current system. The quality of the system is improved, providing faster tracking & location of possible errors.

Future format changes of external data sources (such as news agency feeds) and their schedules have also been taken into account for this update. The basic definitions are based on the current version of the program.

Unicode support and Apache Lucene full-text search engine

The main upgrade in Version 2.6 is the inclusion of Unicode support for the editorial system. The merging of content is made easier via Unicode support and future foreign character sets will be supported.

Included in Doris Version 2.6 is an update to the archives to include the Apache Lucene full-text search engine. This update will also allow the use of Lingsoft's latest modules.
