Neo BooksNeo Books by Anygraaf is a media content planning and management system, which has been specifically designed for book publishers. Information for all publications can easily be foundInformation related to publications (e.g., ISBN, format, volumes, library classification, etc.) are always easy to find. A client-specific, tailor-made view of the required data is provided to all individuals searching for information. Project calendar displays current statusPublications which are currently being worked upon are managed through a graphical project calendar. The various steps of publication are easy to schedule. The calendar displays, via the relevant editor, the current books which are presently in progress; this list can include one or multiple titles. The calendar shows the relevant deadlines for each publication, such as due dates for the script, the lay-out, originals to go to press and return of final publication from the press. An alarm will be triggered if the book project does not proceed as desired. The graphical project calendar provides a clear overview of work-in-progress at a glance. Easy reports in real-timeReports and summaries can be created from the system, either manually or automatically. For example, a printing work order can easily be created from information that has been previously saved. Alarms for work groupsThe alarms related to the stages of publication can be sent to any group members via e-mail or text messages. The management of the usersAccess to publications can be limited to specific users via the user management function. Publication management of various departments and individuals are handled from within the same system. User management can tailor views for individuals so that users will see only publications on which they are working. Documents in a central location
Documents such as publishing agreements, cover photos or text summaries can be attached to a publication, if desired. A whole script can even be saved into the system if needed. Additional system modulesThe basic Neo system may be expanded to include sales and marketing functions, material management and an image archive. Many functions can also be made browser-based. Each system uses the same data resources as the base system, thus increasing operational efficiency and reducing the potential errors. Browser-based use of the basic system
Text and images connected to a publication can be sent as attachments via the Internet from system users such as writers or freelance photographers. Metadata can also be attached to associated files via the same method by offsite contributors. The production system
The production system module includes a page planning component, Planner, wherein pages for publication are planned and managed. Each page is represented via a visual thumbnail within the lay-out; status and other information is provided graphically. All material related to a publication (i.e. text, images, layouts) can be saved into the system. The layout interface is Adobe InDesign CS4 for Windows. Text editing is performed within Neo's own text editor. Browser-based use of the delivery system
Use of the browser-based delivery system enables text to be written to a template then saved into the system; text that is already in a layout can also be edited. Examination and commenting of proofs is also possible in the browser view. Image archive
A client's image archive may also be imported into the system, if desired; this includes search functions that are able to perform highly efficient searches. Access and use of entered images can also be managed within the image archive. Book sales
The Neo Books system improves the efficiency of book sales, invoicing and monitoring. The system's managed client information is up to date and the needs of various campaigns and targeted marketing programs can easily be assessed. Since the system uses the same database as deliveries, all of the information remains up-to-date and only requires information to be entered into the system once. Send link |
